Bezel, the upper most section of a case that the glass sits in through which the dial is viewed. Sometimes the bezel is incorporated int the case centre, otherwise it is an additional component depending on the form and construction of case.

Bow, a ring found in varying forms for suspending a pocket watch from a chain. Normally found pivoted in the tube, below the winding crown on the watch.

Casing-up, the term which describes the process when the movements/dial/hands are placed into the watch case.

Corrector, a button that can either be pronounced or flush with the case centre, for adjusting different functions.

Demi/Half hunter, A case that has a solid front and back cover with a small glass in the front. Traditional associated with pocket watches but also used with wristwatches.

Dust proof, a case that is resistant to dust but not moisture.
